Senior Business Development Manager – EU

The Senior Business Development Manager will drive the development and conversion of new clinical services business opportunities in line with Sharp’s strategy. A key expectation of the role is the ability to leverage an established network of clinical supply chain decision makers, sponsors, CROs and biotech to generate qualified opportunities to meet Sharp’s ambitious growth plans for its clinical services in the EU.
Position
Development of Clinical Trial Services business opportunities within the European and
Global pharmaceutical and biotech industry to support site and sales objectives.
Ability to activate an established network to create qualified opportunities within the first six (6) months.
Develop an in-depth knowledge of Sharp Clinical Services capabilities
Identification, prioritization and development of business opportunities, compatible with the site sales objectives and strategic targets.
Build and manage a robust account portfolio with appropriate contingency to ensure sustainable revenue streams
Maintenance of account development plans and delivery of RFQ, sales and milestone objectives in line with business targets
Develop value added solutions and partnerships with our clients, working with service and operational functions to grow and secure revenue
Facilitation of proposal generation in a timely manner with the clinical pricing team
Lead negotiation and closure of proposals with allocated clients
Ensure seamless transition of new projects into the delivery teams with clear documentation and effective handovers.
Deliver detailed monthly summary reports of key opportunities, competitive insights and account progress.
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
No. of client meetings, Facility visit and marketing qualified leads generated
No. of Client Proposal Requests, target proposal win rate
No. of Technical Agreements & CDA’s signed
Targeted Client Account Development Plans
Compliance with internal handover processes.
CRM accuracy and timely updates
Profile
Results-driven sales professional with strong customer focus
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; comfortable engaging at senior level
Experienced in relationship-based selling, lead management, and proposal development
Commercially aware, quality-focused, and effective in managing change
Team player who works well independently in a small to medium-sized environment
Science or Business graduate (or equivalent)
8+ years’ experience in clinical trial supply chains (clinical packaging preferred)
Proven success in account management and business development within a GMP environment
Strong sales track record with an established network in CMO/CPO/Clinical Supplies Services
Experience in the European pharmaceutical/biotechnology sector
Fluent in English and Dutch and/or German (written and spoken)
